Thread Fountains (Mylar Lace)
Water flows silently along transparent Mylar threads - a sparkling element of architectural design.
Water design without noise
Fountain systems based on Mylar threads are a very interesting element of water design. Water flowing silently along special threads opens up many possible applications.
Indoors, a Mylar thread fountain can divide a space and also serve as a sparkling element of architectural design.

How a thread fountain works
A thread fountain consists of a lower water reservoir and an upper water distribution system with many nozzles and a matching number of adjustable transparent threads.
The technical equipment is housed in the water reservoir:
- pump
- overflow and drain tank
- water make-up system
- power supply
- underwater lighting
- Mylar thread guiding system
Shapes and combinations
Threads can be arranged into columns, spirals and curtains, and complemented with lighting and fountain jets in the reservoir.
